Pilih Studio 1 untuk campaign dengan banyak talent atau set besar, apalagi kalau tim brand ingin melihat gambar dari set lewat monitor feed. Pilih Studio 2 kalau sebagian look butuh latar gelap. Studio 3 cocok untuk lookbook sederhana dengan satu atau dua model, karena kami siapkan untuk pemotretan skala kecil.

Empat hal yang mempercepat pergantian look

1. Urutkan look menurut riasan, bukan urutan koleksi.

Shot list fashion biasanya mengikuti urutan koleksi, sehingga riasan berubah total bolak-balik. Kelompokkan look dengan riasan dan rambut yang mirip, lalu foto berurutan; perubahan besar seperti riasan malam diletakkan di akhir. Kalau talent lebih dari dua, make-up room tambahan bisa disewa per 12 jam mulai Rp1 juta, dengan booking dua hari sebelumnya.

2. Rias talent berikutnya sebelum set kosong.

Kesalahan yang sering terjadi: talent baru mulai dirias setelah look sebelumnya selesai difoto. Tetapkan jam masuk ruang rias untuk setiap talent, supaya selalu ada satu talent siap di pinggir set. Ega Ramadhan menulis di Google bahwa ruang make-up kami besar dan standby room-nya luas.

3. Satu orang dari brand menyetujui foto per look.

Persetujuan per jepretan menghentikan set setiap beberapa menit. Tunjuk satu orang dari brand sebagai pemberi persetujuan, dan minta keputusannya di akhir setiap look. Tim brand memeriksa hasil dari client room, lalu orang itu membawa keputusan ke fotografer.

4. Satu skema lampu untuk satu kelompok look.

Mengubah lampu total untuk setiap look makan waktu sebanyak pergantian busana. Rancang satu skema lampu per kelompok look dan selesaikan semua look di kelompok itu sebelum lampu dipindah. Built-in rigging di Studio 1 dan Studio 2 memungkinkan lampu digantung dari atas, sehingga lantai tetap lega untuk foto full body.

On a fashion or campaign shoot, time is rarely lost at the camera. It is lost between looks, a look being one set of outfit, make-up and hair: talent change, make-up is touched up, lights are moved, then everyone waits for brand approval. Fashion brand marketing teams, stylists, photographers and agency producers preparing a lookbook or campaign usually lose time between looks, not in front of the camera. What follows shows where that time goes, which room fits, and four habits that speed up look changes.

Where time goes between looks

Each look is one cycle: change outfit, fix make-up and hair, adjust the lights, shoot, then ask for approval. If that cycle runs in one room, the set stops every time talent change. If it runs in parallel, the next talent is ready as the previous look finishes.

Working in parallel needs three separate spaces: a make-up room for talent getting ready, the set for talent being shot, and a client room for the brand team reviewing results. Without a client room, the brand team stands behind the photographer, and every comment stops the set.

Studio 1, Studio 2 or Studio 3

Choose Studio 1 for campaigns with several talents or a large set, especially if the brand team wants to see the picture from set on the monitor feed. Choose Studio 2 if some looks need a dark background. Studio 3 suits a simple lookbook with one or two models, because we set it up for small-scale photo shoots.

Four things that speed up look changes

1. Order looks by make-up, not by collection order.

Fashion shot lists usually follow the collection order, so make-up changes completely back and forth. Group looks with similar make-up and hair and shoot them in a row; put big changes such as evening make-up at the end. With more than two talents, an extra make-up room can be rented per 12 hours from IDR 1 million, booked two days in advance.

2. Make up the next talent before the set empties.

A common mistake: the next talent only starts make-up after the previous look has been shot. Set a make-up room call time for each talent, so one talent is always ready at the side of the set. Ega Ramadhan wrote on Google that our make-up room is large and the standby room is spacious.

3. One brand person approves photos per look.

Approving shot by shot stops the set every few minutes. Name one person from the brand as approver, and ask for the decision at the end of each look. The brand team reviews results from the client room, and that person carries the decision to the photographer.

4. One lighting scheme for each group of looks.

Relighting completely for every look takes as long as an outfit change. Design one lighting scheme per group of looks and finish every look in that group before the lights move. Built-in rigging in Studio 1 and Studio 2 lets lights hang from above, so the floor stays clear for full-body shots.

We rent the room and its facilities, while you bring the photographer, crew and equipment. In Studio 1 and Studio 2, rental covers two Godox SL 60 lights (subject to availability), a table and bench set, 50 Mbps dedicated 1:1 internet, valet service and a rooftop smoking area. For the team's and talent's lunch, there is a canteen in the same building.
