Sewa Studio di Jakarta, Apakah Sudah Termasuk Kru? Biasanya Tidak

Rumah produksi (PH)

Vendor peralatan

3. "One stop solution" bukan berarti tinggal datang

Istilah pemasaran seperti "one stop solution" biasanya berarti fasilitasnya lengkap, bukan krunya lengkap.

FAQ

Does a Jakarta Studio Rental Include Crew? Usually Not

A studio rental in Jakarta generally does not include crew: you are renting the space and its facilities. Directors, camera operators, lighting, sound and makeup artists are yours to bring or hire separately. At Shooting Star, crew is not included, but an IT technician on standby during live streaming is, and we can connect you with vendors who regularly work in our studios.

The crew question is the most common source of surprise costs when renting a studio. Here are five things to know before you compare quotes.

1. You're paying for a room, not for people

A studio rental buys the space and everything attached to it: power, air conditioning, internet, rigging, soundproofing, client room, makeup room, parking, security, building technicians and cleaning. That's what a rental studio sells. What it doesn't sell is the people who make the production happen.

2. Rental studios, production houses and equipment vendors are three different businesses

All three show up in the same search and are often mistaken for one thing. Most productions use all three at once, with three separate invoices. If you contact only one and think you're done, that's where the surprise costs come from.

What you bring

Space, building facilities, operational support

Crew, cameras, props, talent

Production house (PH)

Equipment vendor

3. "One stop solution" doesn't mean just turn up

Marketing phrases like "one stop solution" usually mean the facilities are complete, not the crew. The gap between those two meanings only shows when the quote arrives. We use the phrase ourselves, which is exactly why we spell out what is and isn't included in our standard rental price.

4. Live streaming and webinars are the exception

For live streaming and webinar bookings, some studios do include a technician or operator, because the room can't be used for a broadcast without one. That's why "it depends" survives as an answer. At Shooting Star, an IT technician on standby during live streaming is included in the rental (charged beyond 8 hours); you still bring your own switcher and broadcast operator.

5. No crew? Ask for vendor contacts

Established studios usually have a list of vendors who know their rooms. Just mention it when you get in touch. At Shooting Star, we can connect you with photographers, videographers, equipment suppliers and post-production teams who regularly work here. They bill you directly, not through us.

How to compare prices fairly

Ask every studio for a list of what is and isn't included, then compare like with like. An all-in price isn't necessarily cheaper, and a space rate isn't necessarily more expensive. Three questions clear up most of the confusion: is crew included, is green screen included, and how is overtime charged?
